Meenakshi Sharma, 3 years back, was an aspiring MBA student.
She wanted to study in a reputed Management college where she could get a
vertical career growth. She never considered any college for her MBA Study in Delhi because she used to
believe that there are no good colleges in Delhi. She also used to believe that
after completing her MBA from any college situated in Delhi or its
neighborhood, she will not be able to get a job.
Delhi, the Indian capital, is one the cities that offer great
work opportunities to everyone. Being the national capital, Delhi has presence
of big multinational companies and corporates. Not only corporates and
industries, Delhi is rich in culture and tradition. Education system of the
city is also at its peak. There are many Technology and Management colleges in
and around Delhi that offer quality education to students.
Rajat Kumar, a friend of Meenakshi, who was appearing in an
MBA Entrance Examination that year, told her not to worry about. She said,
“There are dozens of my friends who have completed their MBA program from
Delhi, Noida and different parts of NCR in recent years, are placed in
multinational organizations at good perks. Adding further, Rajat said, “I too have
done my PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) from a college in Noida and
now I am well working with an international Bank”.
Meenakshi was quite convinced with the words of Rajat and
decided to consult in this regard with some more friends. She called a friend
of hers, Lata Dey, who was pursuing PGMM from a college in Faridabad, that year
from a Management College. Meenakshi asked Lata about the pros and cons of
studying in Delhi and also what was the reason behind her joining this college?
Lata happily told her that primarily the most positive reason
of studying in Delhi is that you are staying close to family and friends and
secondarily you are close to global opportunity, coming directly to Delhi. Late
said, “Delhi has a huge presence of corporates and multinationals, so it will
be quite easy for me to fetch a job after completing MBA Study in Delhi”.
Explaining further, she told Meenakshi that her college has performed
enormously well in past few years in respect of placements and that was the
reason why she chose to study in that college.
Getting enough Gyan from both her friends, Meenakshi decided
to appear in the MBA entrance examinations of different colleges and the very
same year, she got admission in a Delhi top ranked Business school for her MBA
course. After the completion of her MBA program, she even got placed, in Delhi
itself, with a Multinational Retail Chain as a Brand Manager.
